Dewberry juice

The fruit is a collection of drupes, which are smaller and less coherent than blackberries and are black when mature and have a dull surface with a white bloom.

The flavor of dewberries is delicious and individual, it is more delicate than blackberry flavour.  Dewberries are similar to raspberries and blackberries, and are such a dark purple color they look black when ripe.
.
Dewberries form juicy blue-black aggregate fruits. The delicious berries make excellent juices, jams, cobblers and pies.

To make dewberry juice cover the raw berries with water, crush them, and strain them through cheesecloth. Add sweetening to taste. Uncooked juice should be refrigerated and consumed within a day or two.
