Health benefits of raspberry juice

Raspberries are packed with antioxidants and only a handful of raspberries provide an intense flavor to recipes and a healthful dose of nutrients. Raspberry fruit is rich in phytonutrients ellagic acid, magnesium, potassium and vitamin C.  Raspberry fruit also is a good source of potassium, calcium, zinc, niacin and beta-carotene.

One cup of fresh berries produces about one-quarter cup of juice. Among health benefits of raspberry are regulating menstrual cycles, fighting viral disease, ideal for weight loss.

Phenolics, such as quercetin and ellagic acid, which are found in raspberry juice, have been shown to have anti-carcinogenic affects against colon, skin and breast cancers.
